iPhone Developers' Meetup
Details
We have a special guest on our agenda for July: Ken Brady (https://twitter.com/kenbrady) will be in town from Tokyo to talk about Genkii (https://genkii.com), the company that he started to build Sparkle, a 3D virtual world for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The last time I checked, Sparkle was still in development, but Genkii has a couple of other apps that are ahead of it in the pipeline: Sparkle IM, an IM client for Second Life, and an engine for presenting interactive comics.
Other topics:
Local developer Kyle Hurlbut will present his Graphics Lab 2 (https://graphicslab2.com/) Reader app for displaying graphic novels and comics on the iPhone.
Paul Wilson and Nafis Jamal will give us an update on HaveASec (https://haveasec.com), their iPhone-based survey tool. HaveASec was recently used at Google I/O to run live surveys and session feedback throughout the conference. We're also using HaveASec to collect feedback on our monthly meetups.
George Lee will demonstrate PacketPig (https://www.packetpig.com/), an SDK and mobile analytics solution that they've developed that also supports push messaging.
Jeremy Arnon will describe Quattro (https://www.quattrowireless.com/), a new ad platform that's available for iPhone apps. Quoting Jeremy, he'll tell us:
How to integrate new ads that take advantage of iPhone 3.0 into your app through Quattro.
Examples of what major advertisers are doing with App ads and integrations.
Quattro’s Differentiation: Premier Quality Ad Network means higher eCPM’s
Where Quattro stands on mediation players such as AdWhirl and Tapjoy
What does the entrance of Google AdSense mean to the network landscape?
