Put MongoDB backend behind your next app

Aaron Staple from 10gen (https://www.10gen.com/) will be joining us to talk about the MongoDB (https://www.mongodb.org/) database and we'll look at how and why we might use it to build the backend for our next big app. I'll back him up with a walkthrough of an example backend that I've built with MongoDB. Then we'll see a couple of other cool applications of MongoDB for our mobile apps.

Mike Mayo and Rackspace Open Source

Mike Mayo is the developer of Rackspace's iPhone (https://github.com/rackspace/iphone-rackspacecloud), iPad (https://github.com/rackspace/ipad-rackspacecloud), and
Android (https://github.com/rackspace/android-rackspacecloud) apps, and along with their awesome cloud management capabilities, all three are open source apps that you can find on github (links above). This makes them a great resource for learning and comparing the iPhone, iPad, and Android environments, and I've asked Mike to come to give us an overview of his apps and to let us quiz him on the relative ins-and-outs of building apps for the iPhoneOS and Android platforms. If you're sitting on one side of the fence and wondering what's on the other side, you won't want to miss this.
