WWDC Afterparty at MacArthur Park with Music and Inspiration from Smule

Details

Join us for our third annual post-WWDC bash! We seem to have a tradition of bringing down our venues -- first the Blue Chalk and then Bistro 412 closed after hosting our parties. But I'm confident that MacArthur Park will break the chain -- and looking forward to an unsurpassedly cool evening!

We'll have lots of time for mixing and a special presentation from Smule's Director of Product Alchemy, Jeannie Yang. When I visited Smule to plan this, they suggested either a deep dive into iOS audio APIs or something amazingly entertaining and inspiring (is there a difference?). You won't want to miss this (and we'll save the audio APIs for a future meetup).

Thanks to sponsors YuMe, PayPal, and Poshmark and your help at the door we'll have a fabulous menu of MacArthur Park specialties: Mesquite Grilled Sausages and Chicken Satay, Black Sesame Encrusted Ahi Tuna, Salmon Cucumber Cups,... you get the idea :)

Finally, Turner Kirk, the Mule of Smule, will be bringing his ustream broadcast to our meetup. Got a music related app? Bring it and be ready to pitch on his live stream. Can't make it or want your mom to watch? Here's a link: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/smule

Admission will be $10 at the door. If you're visiting from out of the area, show your non-California ID and be our guest free.

Parking: please note that at MacArthur Park, parking is valet-only ($5), but it's about as close as you can get to the University Avenue train station and if you plan ahead you can park free on the other side of Alma street and easily walk over.

The Passionate Olive looking for a developer. Not a complex UI, but familiarity with Core Data and REST APIs required. Find us at the meeting tonight; two of us will be there.

100%! For the last few years we've had parties on the Monday after WWDC. No reason to stop that now!
