Engineering App Success

Details

This month we'll talk about some ways that hard work can pay off in successful apps. We'll have two presentations on technology and an app success story:

Philipp Berner of KeepSafe will talk about A/B testing and Switchboard, the iOS library that KeepSafe has developed to make it easier: https://github.com/KeepSafe/Switchboard (Maybe you saw that Twitter just bought Clutch.io (http://www.wired.com/business/2012/08/twitter)? )

Fred McClain will introduce us to Introspex (https://introspexapps.com), a company that provides app monitoring tools in a platform. From Introspex: "Introspex is the first ever app insight platform to capture and replay users' actions and app behavior for the whole team, with no extra coding required. Developing and debugging programs is not just about crashes. All of those subtle, hard to find defects - when you just can't reproduce the bug. What if you could replay each run made by a user or tester from your browser? See exactly what they see? And have all the information about the environment right at your fingertips? That's what Introspex brings you."

Then we'll hear from Rob Hunter and Mark Johnson, who recently reached at least #2 in the free app category with their "Hit Tennis III". You may recall that Mark demoed the original "Hit Tennis" app back in 2008 (https://www.meetup.com/sviphone/events/9185985/). Mark and Rob developed Hit Tennis III in Ann Burkett's Game Dojos ( http://www.gamedojos.com/teams.html ) and have been working together since 2009.

Love to connect with developers interested in healthcare. Have a cool idea that needs engineering support.
