Details
We're going to continue our iOS registered developer-only discussion with one of the topics of our July forum.
Because of the confidential nature of this session, I won't post a lot of detail, but generally you can expect three presentations:
-
An overview of SpriteKit and a demo of a game built with it.
-
A user story: Rob Rhyne (https://twitter.com/capttaco), CEO of MartianCraft (http://martiancraft.com) and a speaker at Renaissance 2013 (http://renaissance.io/2013/sessions/apps_for_hire), will talk about how MartianCraft is using SpriteKit in interesting and unexpected ways.
-
Something really mind-bending and opportunity-expanding from Apportable (http://www.apportable.com).
We'll follow this with an open discussion of demos of SpriteKit apps that people in the room want to share.
BONUS: Extreme Reality for 3D full-body motion capture
We'll have a brief presentation Extreme Reality (http://www.xtr3d.com/about-us/overview) about its new 2D camera-based motion capture system, available for iOS. This will be the perfect time to hear about the Extreme iPad Challenge (http://www.xtr3d.com/ipad-challenge-2013), a contest for iPad game developers that opens August 18.
Please note: All attendees must be registered members of Apple's iOS developer program. To join, visit https://developer.apple.com/register/index.action.
Participation is free for Renaissance IO (http://renaissance.io/) members, who also receive access to videos from the 2013 Renaissance Conference. For more information about Renaissance IO membership, visit http://renaissance.io/membership.
Participation is also free for early ticket buyers for Renaissance 2014 (http://renaissance2014.eventbrite.com/), coming January 29-31, 2014 at UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center. Early registrations for Renaissance 2014 are on sale now at http://renaissance2014.eventbrite.com.
