From Coursera:

At Coursera, we believe in Learning without Limits. However, while our mission is short and sweet, the challenges we face are quite the opposite. Come join our iOS team as we discuss some of the biggest challenges we faced in our attempt to mobilize education. We'll start off with Yixin Zhu, mobile engineer, who will introduce Coursera and the iOS team, followed by Jon Wong, product engineer, who will talk about HLS and videos, and finish with Katheryn Shi, iOS engineer, who will discuss subtitles. Coursera also welcomes special guest speaker Adam Talcott, Co-founder & VP Engineering at Vilynx, who will show us the Vilynx video product. Hope to see you all there!

With Airomo SDK/API, any iOS app can add interactive and customizable app search capability in-app. If anyone interested to learn how to monetize with contextual native ads with superior UX, get in touch. Cheers.

Thanks for the call for demos, Tim. I'll give a short presentation on a video app i'm working on. It's an app designed for capturing and tagging videos of skateboarding.

I'm using Microsoft Azure as the backend for the app, so I can also briefly talk about my experiences with that.

If you also do Android and are interested in Google Glass, there is a Glass Hackathon for Education in June (6/20-6/21). You can find more information here: https://plus.google.com/+EJohnFeig/posts/23qrd2ZBVJD and get tickets here: http://pre-io-glass-hack.eventbrite.com/ !

My knowledge in computer programming, let alone mobile app programming is close to 0. However, I'm passionate to learn more and even bounce off ideas' I've began to pursue (out-sourced) with the intention of bring the technology home.

Will this event possibly shed some light in this arena for me?

Thanks,
Farshad
