Don't wear yourself out at WWDC this year! Thanks to Cynthia Maxwell, we'll be meeting at Slack on the following Monday and learning some of Slack's secrets for building cross-platform mobile apps.

From Slack:

Writing a mobile Slack client is tricky. We’ve done it from scratch a few times at Slack now, for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. This talk will cover some of the lessons we learned, and also introduce libslack: a native cross-platform library that provides asynchronous, type-safe, and smart access to a Slack team.
Our speaker will be Keith Adams, Chief Architect at Slack.

His previous work includes founding Facebook’s AI Research team, and the HipHop Virtual Machine PHP engine. He was an early engineer at VMware, and holds an ScB in Computer Science from Brown University.

We'll hope to see you there!

Oh yeah, here's Keith:

Hi, we set RSVP limits to protect our hosts from being overwhelmed, but there's always people who don't show up so we've never turned anyone away (except maybe once - long story). That said, I just got approval to raise the limit.
